Windows Phone 7: Places To Get Your App Reviewed!

December 21, 2010 4 comments

I have been looking for a comprehensive list of app-review sites for the windows phone 7 and I simply cannot find one. So I decided to compile my own!

This is by no means a final assessment. I could only find 6 sites that actually did app reviews (and I suspect its because of the infantile nature of the marketplace). If you know of more, feel free to leave a comment. I am looking to make my list extensive and would love to feature any and all WP7 App Reviews sites as they pop up 🙂

1800 Pocket PC
This website is pretty awesome. The owner is very nice and very open to doing app reviews if you just give him a little time.

WP Central
This website is pretty awesome as well. Although they haven’t reviewed any of my apps, they seem to have tons of up-to-date information on WP7 happenings as well as comprehensive reviews on various top-shelf applications.

Cool Smart Phone
I haven’t really looked at their website too much but I did check out their youtube channel and it seems very quality.

Windows Phone Review

This website is great. They have reviewed one of my apps before and did a pretty good job 😀

Windows Phone 7 Zone
Another resource for app reviews with high potential, I think.

Everything WM
Last but not least, Everything WM. A very clean website/blog with some great information.

And thats all I could find on the subject. Again, if you know of any more websites — feel free to let me know!

New Windows Phone 7 Puzzle Game – GeoMind

December 20, 2010 Leave a comment

GeoMind is a crazy addictive puzzle game with insanely simple rules! You start out with a shape. The goal is to re-create the shape by connecting a series of dots however; you cannot cross the same path twice!

The trial version sports the first 6 starter maps with low difficulty. You may play through them and even repeat them as much as you want!

The full version, however, is decked with over 30 maps, an in-game map update feature, and – as a Christmas special – we will be releasing 1 map every day until Christmas!

Are you up for the challenge?

Christmas Lyrics App for Windows Phone 7

December 8, 2010 2 comments

Christmas Lyrics promotes healthy caroling by providing an extensive database of over 20 Christmas songs for you to look through! Never again shall you be caught mumbling the words to some of the top Christmas songs this holiday season. This app features a smooth interface, fun background, and fantastic selection of songs to keep you entertained throughout this festive month.

Christmas Lyrics was the first app I created for the windows phone 7 Marketplace. I thought it would be a good choice because of the upcoming holidays and decided to finish it in a matter of days. It is currently ranked as the top 29th sold app in the entire entertainment section and I hope to see its position grow as we approach Christmas Day!

Christmas Lyrics has been reviewed by a number of other sites too! Check out what other people are saying.

Quantum Jump Game for Windows Phone 7

December 8, 2010 1 comment

Quantum Jump is the first of many indie games I intend to make for the Windows Phone 7 mobile platform. The premise is easy enough – simply jump, jump, and jump! Reach for the stars because you certainly aren’t going anywhere else! Taking place in a space environment you assume the role of our main character, the alien guy, who is trying to collect nuclei atop precariously stacked platforms. In addition to getting points and not dying alien guy enjoys using jet packs and super jump bricks to reach impossible heights.

The game is simple but fun. Who doesn’t like a good jumper? With some neat power-ups, cool effects, an infinite map, and plenty of platforms to explore – you certainly will stay entertained! I have included a few screenshots below and a link to the youtube video demo. Take a look at it and feel free to leave feedback – I would love to see what kinds of improvements the community would like to see.
